Payments and free trial
Starting the 7-day free trial or a subscription takes you to Stripe, which collects your card and billing details as an independent controller; we never see or store card numbers. We keep subscription status, trial dates and licence counts against your practice account to run billing.

Information within scope
Firm identity and reference metadata, names and practice roles, necessary governance rationale, source versions, internal review dates and minimal correspondence metadata.
Information to exclude
Do not enter Government Gateway credentials, unnecessary personal tax detail or named criminal or no-conviction status. Redact documents before upload. A statement that someone has no convictions can itself be criminal-offence data.

Evidence and account boundaries
Evidence is held privately, stored with integrity checks and subject to account and role authorization. Audit records preserve governance history. Keep your own copies of records you are required to retain.
Payments
Subscriptions are billed through Stripe. When you subscribe, Stripe receives your practice name and an internal account identifier, and collects your billing contact, address, optional VAT number and payment details directly on Stripe-hosted pages. We never see or store card numbers. We keep a record of your subscription status, plan quantity and Stripe identifiers to provide billing. Stripe acts as a payment processor and, for its own regulatory purposes, as an independent controller; see Stripe's privacy policy. We do not send Stripe the contents of your register.

Our controller identity, processor terms, retention periods, subprocessor list (Stripe is a payment processor as described above), privacy contact and rights procedure are published here as they are confirmed.
