Who provides the service
MTAR Compliance Register is provided by Modern Platforms Ltd.
Independence from HMRC
MTAR Compliance Register is an independent product of Modern Platforms Ltd. It is not provided by, endorsed by or affiliated with HM Revenue & Customs or the UK Government. “MTAR” refers to HMRC’s Mandatory Tax Adviser Registration regime. Using the service does not register you with HMRC or guarantee compliance, and it is not legal or tax advice.
Licences and billing
Your subscription covers a number of licences, being the people in scope your practice has paid for. You may exceed your licences by up to 5% (rounded up, minimum one person) while we remind you in the workspace to add licences. Beyond that allowance we pause only the creation of new People-register records until you add licences. We do not delete or lock your data, and we do not change your subscription without you choosing the licence count. Prices exclude VAT.
Free trial
New practice accounts can start one 7-day free trial. A payment card is required to start it. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, Stripe charges your first month automatically at the end of the trial. If no payment method is available when the trial ends the subscription is cancelled. A practice account is offered one trial only.
Your responsibility
Your practice makes and records its own legal and tax judgements, relevance decisions and review dates. Check current official guidance and seek appropriate professional advice when needed. A readiness status records internal workflow, not a guarantee of compliance or registration.
What the service does
Organises practice records, evidence, source versions, internal review and audit exports. It does not submit to HMRC, operate Government Gateway, send statutory notifications or replace AML supervision or practice-management software.
Pricing and service
Pricing starts at £19 a month for up to 5 people in scope; see pricing. Service levels and detailed contract terms are set out in your order.
